Online Courses
PBLWorks offers 8-week online courses to support teachers in becoming stronger project-based practitioners. Online Courses work well for teachers who want a combination of self-paced learning and weekly online sessions. While the courses can be taken in any order, we recommend those new to PBL start with PBL Jumpstart: Design, followed by PBL Jumpstart: Teach.
Online Courses are offered to domestic and international partners.

Become a stronger project designer through the use of the Essential Project Design Elements. This course is designed to guide teachers in adapting one of the standards-based projects from our Project Library to meet the needs of their students and unique classroom context. (Formerly Adapting Your First Project)
Become a stronger facilitator of Project Based Learning through the use of Project Based Teaching Practices. This course is designed to guide teachers in their shift to becoming a PBL teacher. You’ll learn how to incorporate effective teaching practices you already use into the framework of PBL and learn how to assume a new and rewarding role in the classroom. Please note: If you want to learn how to adapt a project for your context, start with PBL Jumpstart: Design. (Formerly Becoming a PBL Teacher)

Open Online Workshops
Open Online Workshops are 1-3 day full day workshops designed for individuals and/or small groups of educators who are interested in learning more about how to use Gold Standard PBL in their classrooms and schools. Open online workshops are $599 per person (3 days) and $200 per person (1 day).

PBL 101: An Introduction to Project Based Learning
This foundational three-day workshop in Project Based Learning—based on our model of Gold Standard PBL—is the best way to begin your PBL journey. In this workshop, you’ll plan a Gold Standard project for your students and learn equity-centered teaching practices to facilitate high-quality PBL. The PBL 101 workshop models the Project Based Learning process.

PBL Coaching Workshop (Prerequisite: PBL 101 or equivalent)

Social Emotional Learning in PBL
