
Claudett Edie
Claudett Edie, a former High School English and Science teacher, brings over a decade of experience in Project-Based Learning (PBL) to her role as a dedicated educator. As the District-Wide MSAP Curriculum and Instructional Coach for Fayette County Public Schools, she collaborates with teachers and school leaders to design vibrant, student-centered learning experiences and build sustainable systems for instructional growth.
Previously serving as a Library Media Specialist, school level PBL coach, and a member of Fayette County School's Deeper Learning Team, she not only taught PBL projects but also secured grant funding for PBL experiences.
Claudett spent much of her time team-teaching, supporting, and coaching teachers as they designed PBL experiences in their classrooms. Claudett's commitment to PBL is rooted in its transformative power to empower students with critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. She believes in creating engaging learning experiences that connect classroom content to real-world issues, fostering equity and access to high-quality education for all students.
Recognized for her innovative contributions, including winning the 2023 PBLWorksKY Innovator Contest, Claudett was also named the 2025 Kentucky School Librarian of the Year and 2025 Central Kentucky Librarian of the Year. She continues to inspire educators and students alike. As a dynamic presenter, she facilitates professional development sessions on PBL classroom integration at local, district, and state-wide conferences. With a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership and Middle School Science and English Education, Claudett brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a PBLWorks National Faculty member, dedicated to empowering educators through innovative learning methodologies.
