Kay Sturm
Kay’s work supports schools in intentionally designing organizational structures, project-based curriculum and long-term strategic planning. She holds a Doctorate of Education from the University of Southern California, with a focus on the 'Facilitation of Authentic Teaching and Learning in a PBL Environment'. In 2016, Kay was named Charter School Teacher of the Year for the State of Hawaii, while working at a project-based middle school. Her experience spans from primary grades to higher-education teacher preparation, instructional coaching, and working in environments with a diverse array of student needs, cultural backgrounds, and urban to rural environments. As National Faculty for PBL Works, Kay facilitates workshops and supports curriculum design with the PBL Teach curriculum platform.
Now based in Homer, Alaska, Kay spends much of her time learning and playing in the outdoors with her family, no matter the weather.
