Chris Fancher

National Faculty

Chris Fancher has been teaching for over 20 years and has taught at every level from 6th grade math/science to college level algebra and statistics. He is currently teaching IB Design at an International Baccalaureate World School in Round Rock Texas.  

Within Texas Chris worked with regional education centers writing PBL units for geometry. He consulted with Educate Texas (formerly the Texas High School Project) coaching and presenting at summer institutes. And, he taught math and engineering at the internationally recognized Manor New Technology H.S. in Manor.

Chris has degrees in math, engineering, and education and retired from the US Naval Reserve. The majority of his teaching experience is in secondary mathematics. Through this experience he co-authored "Project Based Learning in the Math Classroom" which targets 6 -10 math. He also had the opportunity to teach high school engineering classes with the Project Lead the Way curriculum.
