Allie Wong

National Faculty

Allie is extremely passionate about Project Based Learning, mainly because as a graduate from a PBL high school herself, she has seen firsthand the benefits of student-centered and authentic learning.

For the last 10 years, Allie has worked at a PBL charter school network located in San Diego, California as a teacher and school principal.  Her top three achievements over this time are 1) coaching teachers on how to differentiate instruction and how to create engaging multidisciplinary projects and how to develop structures that promote equity and learning; 2) creating a math curriculum for elementary and middle school grades that is based on constructivist theories and incorporating math into projects; and 3) developing her approach to collaborative design to lift student voices in the project design process.

Allie holds her B.S. in Liberal Arts from Soka University of America, as well as a M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania in Teaching and Curriculum, and a M.A. from the High Tech High Graduate School of Education in Educational Leadership.  She is excited to continue her learning journey at PBLWorks as National Faculty.
