Jesse Bean

National Faculty

Jesse leads a strategic consultancy firm focused on improved outcomes for learning organizations.  He was most recently the Head of School at the Russell Byers Charter School, a K-8 Expeditionary Learning school in Philadelphia, and served previously as the Principal of Impact Academy of Arts and Technology, one of Envision Education’s network of San Francisco Bay Area high schools that were featured in a 2014 Stanford University case study on student-centered learning and school design. Jesse has led workshops on project-based learning, performance assessment and school redesign for teachers and leaders in schools and districts around the world.

Prior to his work as an administrator and consultant, Jesse spent a decade as a high school English teacher. He is a graduate of Swarthmore College (B.A.) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Ed.M).
