In this project, students work together in teams to develop a museum exhibit presenting current and proposed UNESCO World Heritage sites and cultural practices that reflect the history and culture of their assigned country. Students research focus countries and use the criteria for World Heritage selection to analyze sites/practices that have already been identified and propose new sites/practices. They compose written arguments to justify how their chosen sites/practices qualify and support why they should be chosen as worthy of recognition. Students publish their arguments and link them to their museum displays before hosting a grand opening of the space.
